We take your privacy seriously and only collect information that is necessary to provide you with a great local discovery experience.

Information you provide directly:

• Account registration details (name, email address);
• Business listing information (business name, address, phone, website, description, photos);
• User-generated content (posts, comments, event submissions, deal submissions);
• Communications with our support team.

Information collected automatically:

• Device information (device type, operating system, browser type);
• Usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent on the platform);
• IP address and approximate geographic location;
• Deal claim and redemption activity;
• Event RSVP and save/bookmark activity.

• Provide, operate, and improve the LocalToledo platform;
• Personalize your discovery feed based on your interests and location;
• Process deal claims and redemptions;
• Send you notifications about deals, events, and community updates you've opted into;

• With business owners, but only to the extent necessary to facilitate deal redemptions or event check-ins you initiate;

LocalToledo may request access to your device's location to provide location-aware features such as "Near You" discovery, local event recommendations, and neighborhood filtering.

Location access is entirely optional. You can grant or revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings or within the app's Preferences screen. We do not continuously track your location in the background.

If you grant location access, your general location may be stored in your user profile to improve personalized recommendations. We do not share precise location data with third parties.

With your permission, LocalToledo may send you push notifications about new deals, upcoming events, community updates, and business activity relevant to your interests.

You can manage or disable push notifications at any time through the Preferences section in your Profile, or through your device's notification settings.

The platform integrates with third-party services to deliver certain features. These may include:

• Stripe for payment processing — Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment information is handled;
• Analytics providers for usage tracking and performance monitoring;
• Mapping and location services for geographic features.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with through LocalToledo. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law or to fulfill legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution.

Deal claim records and transaction history may be retained for longer periods for accounting and legal compliance purposes.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Deletion — request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions;
• Portability — request a machine-readable export of your data;
• Opt-out — opt out of marketing communications or personalized recommendations at any time.

LocalToledo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission, secure authentication, and regular security reviews.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access to your account.
